Meet Dr. Christine J. Chen, DDS

I love helping my patients achieve and maintain the smile they're proud of!

This begins with creating a positive, empowering and comfortable experience for each and every one of my patients. I love getting to know my patients by learning about their backgrounds, experiences, fears, and goals. As a general dentist, I find it very rewarding to see my patients from all walks of life transform when they achieve a functional and radiant smile.

Education

I have always loved learning and continually challenge myself to grow my knowledge and clinical practice. Education is what has allowed me to develop as an individual and help others through this amazing profession. I received my Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and returned home to Seattle for my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Go Huskies!

I am committed to excellence and remain involved in continuing education after dental school. I regularly take courses through the Washington State Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry in order to learn the latest advancements in dentistry.

In the Community

Helping others outside the office is equally as important to me as helping my patients! I find that opening ourselves up to serve others allows us to learn about other cultures, backgrounds, and traditions and to further our humanitarian qualities. I have enjoyed volunteering with organizations such as the Special Olympics, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, and 1000 Smiles and Great Shape! Inc. in Jamaica!

I am especially passionate about empowering women and families in need. I love helping children and women as a volunteer at Mary’s Place.

Personal Life

I was born in Seattle and grew up in Bellevue. After venturing out to the Midwest for my undergrad, I was thrilled to finally come home to the Northwest for dental school.

In my spare time, I love reading, baking delicious treats, going to Mariners games, and salsa dancing. I also enjoy trying new things and travelling to new places!
